Looking at the earliest posts on this board, as best we can tell, this month (March 2013) marks Rock Tumbling Hobby Forum's 10 year anniversary!
So... in some private conversations with St. Edmo, he had an idea that I create a sort-of honorary commemoration of RTH with past members and their great works. I've had this project kicking around in my head and on my computer for months now, and Ed and I intended to do a slideshow set to music, but... it quickly became evident that there are just too much important stuff in the annals of RTH history to fit into a 4 minute slideshow. So... if St. Edmo will forgive me for doing it this way..
I didn't want this important milestone to go by without doing something, so I thought I'd start a 10 year anniversary thread. So, as my time allows, I will post collages commemorating past and present members and their contributions to the Rock Tumbling Hobby forum.
Please feel free to comment, reminisce, check in and say hi and post photos, but please no political comments. Might spoil the spirit of the celebration.
Please forgive me if I leave something out or have not gotten to a member yet; it is not my intention to leave anyone out.
Except for the first two, these are in no particular order.
Note: I've moved these first ones to the first page and will be adding to the group there from now on. They won't show up in the 50 most recent posts, so you'll have to check back from time to time to see what's been added.
So... without further ado, on with the show--

Great idea, Jo, and a fine job you are doing so far! It is a little sad to think of all the photos that are no longer available in the archives, but I guess there's still plenty to pick from.
Thanks Mark and Sands for starting this wonderful forum to share thoughts and images, worldwide!
Jo, we're all looking forward to seeing much, much more. Jean

Thanks Jo and to all for mentioning me. But before the kudo’s get out of control I had very little to do with any of it. All these wonderful collages & excellent efforts are all Jo’s.
I had a vague idea about an RTH commemoration. I passed it on to Jo because she embodies the RTH spirit, knows and respects the history, and as the technical skills to put it together. She took to the idea right away.
I tried to be of some assistance way back. But lost contact and what little I saw of the archiving it was overwhelming! We all know how hard the search function is. All the archiving and downloading she’s done. And done excellent.
As to whether they need to be bigger? If I person wanted to print the image couldn’t they just make it bigger in their editing program?
Anyway whatever easier for you Jo, in my opinion…mostly you rock
Thanks Ed

Ed is way too kind, I am just one cog in the RTH wheel making a contribution.

Wow. What an effort and incredible! A lot of these people were before my time, but seeing their stuff, wish they were still around. Stunning stuff Parfive used to post before he went nuts (JUST KIDDING)...
Thanks for the collages Naturenut, that's a phenomenal effort and just a wonderful way to 'meet' some of the old posters here!

Don't forget yourself, Jo.
This is such a cool thing for you to do. I'm loving seeing all the wonderful RTH talent and smiling faces. I think the size is fine.
