Let's have a separate place to talk just about - - - Photography:
A common comment on this site is that
The ADD ATTACHMENT quota for RTH was exceeded long ago, so you may insert images from other places on the web (that may dissappear at random), or choose some website to host your photos.

the official procedures

You right click a photo you want to share on your computer (you don't have to see what it's source URL is on a web page) and select "Share DropBox link"
In the BBEdit editor thing (the WYSIWYG editor you use to write a post) you just click the add image button and paste in the address that DropBox gave you and you're done.
An added benefit is that you can have your phone auto-backup to DropBox so the photos are already synced to your PC and the cloud by the time you're home (if you use your cell for photos) and you can post as soon as you walk in the door.
I *suspect* that OneDrive might have a similar option although I haven't tested it, I really wish Google Plus Photos (now Picasa again, I think) had this feature. THey have unlimited photo backup if you let Google resize your photos, but I've had permission issues sharing with Google Photos/Picasa more recently.
Down side of DropBox is you are limited on your storage if you don't pay for storage, but it is the simplest on a PC at least in my experience.
Personally anymore I host the photos myself and don't worry about it. I have things pretty well streamlined to share photos online and I can keep the URLs fairly short so it is easy to copy/paste image links into posts.

How to Add Photographs
The work around is to simply right click on the image, Open the image alone in a separate browser window and copy the displayed Image URL within the bowser search slot (top of the page)Often what happens is if the URL in the slot doesn't end with JPG, GIF, TIFF, PNG, or BMP the image may not work when pasting in the "add image" command line or the ( ) picture window icon located in the lower tool tray.
But here is the main issue.. We take for granted the "quick reply" option at the bottom of the page.. which one would have to be familiar with how coding works before hand.. Other wise it's best to click the "reply" option (right side of the text entry field) and may or add the images that way.
Upon extremely rare occasions.. and this is odd.. I can right click an image, "copy" and open this widow and paste the image and it would come up..
And there is the strict coding or the BBCode entry mode.. and one would need to know a bit more about entering data and images using this method.
Also, as a reminder and not sure this matters.. the system seem to auto adjust the size which is a good thing, some sites don't offer this on would see someone else image approx 10 x one monitor.. A bit distorted etc. And there is my personal favorite of simply making sure the image is centered.. this can be done by first entering the image data/code which could look like this if one was using the BBC system.
But once the code or image has been entered.. highlight or click drag your cursor over the image which will then turn blue indicating that it's been highlighted and then click the "Left, Center or Right" paragraphs alignment icons ( )

The fastest way to post pics from a PC is DropBox - IMHO.
You right click a photo you want to share on your computer (you don't have to see what it's source URL is on a web page) and select "Share DropBox link"

Here is what maybe confusing for allot of photobucket users.. When you upload images to Photobucket.. they generate URL codes that one can use on pages like Rock Tumbling Hobby.. However, I've attempted to use this method and it never works.

[img src="http://images.proboards.com/v5/bbcode/image.png"][/img]
The code above represents the picture icon above.. and in many cases the code would have to be closed or the page and image would be distorted. But once the code or image has been entered.. highlight or click drag your cursor over the image which will then turn blue indicating that it's been highlighted and then click the "Left, Center or Right" paragraphs alignment icons ( )
