... so, hello, again...
First of all I'm not a rock maker - not yet. Cruising through some of the posts I might will turn into one. I love wire wrapping, on the other hand, and I'm looking forward to "pick" on your creativity, guys/girls, and contribute the best I can.
I'm a mid age woman, I've lived in Florida in the past 20 years. I'm Hungarian born, I still speak, write and think with accent. I like good food, good jokes, good thoughts, and I love to create things with my hands.
I'm just about to lunch my wire and other jewelry business. I know, it will be gruesome to make the living with handcrafted wearable, but I'm up to the challenge. Although, just recently (today!) I got the first negative, cold wave from the least expected source; from my DH (Dear Husband). By him, I should make cheap, drop-a-bead-on-a-wire-and-call-it-art type of things in bulk if I want to make the living. He finds joy in criticizing the pieces I make, and deems them "unsellable". Soooo, it is nice to read on posts of enthusiasts of the matter.
I truly believe, if a person who put a rock in a cage and called it the best pet (quiet, doesn't make mess, doesn't need food, and you don't have to walk it), and made millions with this idea, then everything is sellable. Why should I set my goals and dreams to cheap-bulk-low (alongside with my self-esteem), when this is the one chance I get to "show-off", and create something, something I can put my heart into. I think, DH is just jealous, he he.
Besides jewelry making I play pool (billiard) in a TAP league, I love to play puzzle games, find joy in grooming my cats, I work out, I swim. Things I hate is shopping, doing the dishes, traffic, noisy people and my profession (I'm an accountant - not for long, though).
Anyways, just wanted to say hello!
