I generally don't post most of my cabs because I am still trying to master cabbing a little better. But I am going to show some of my cabs anyway including some of my early ones. Oh man those r great! Such a variety of shapes and you did inside curves and angles too! I am still attempting to master flat spots and scratches... I get them right eventually but they tend to get smaller too! LOL

Pretty sweet set for a nub. Used to be nub is more like it. How much of that is self collected? I would guess most of it. Jim

Love that blue and White one (5.) is that sodalite? No, never worked with sodalite. The 5th pic down is actually a light purple (fluorospar) and white (dolomite, calcite, quartz, etc.). The stone is actually Tiffany stone, which is a conglomeration of up to 16 different minerals. So it can various colors, patterns, stability and hardness.

Jim Every single piece except the turquoise in quartz, which I traded for the slab. Had been to that mine before though just never picked any of this up since you have to look really close at the rocks to spot the turquoise stringers. Since cabbing this piece though I pay a lot closer attention to this material and have collected a lot of this material including a 20+ pound chunk. Occasionally I will also find malachite and azurite stringers in the material as well.

Was thinking of doing a photo rapportage since they are my favorits on this forum(besides the great advices, funny frog stories, amazing cabs and tumbles that inspire, amazing metal and wire work;0) BUT I'm pretty sure you would all be bored to death and I can't miss all that, Love your cabs and the Tiffany Stone.
