OOO this is a fun game! How about these?
Breakalite
Cracksalite
Bleedalotite
Crapium
Densite
Wherethehellhasthecolorgonium
Toodamnsoftium
Oopsium-Dropite...which turns into Breakalite and Cracksalite. Sometimes it turns into a very volatile compound called Profanium. Exposure to Profanium causes elevated blood pressure, headaches and profuse swearing. When exposed to Profanium friends, spouses and loved ones tend to avoid you so try to limit your exposure. Secondary exposure symptoms include damage to equipment and an unreasonable desire to throw things. Treatment for exposure to Profanium include adult beverages, video games and long walks on the beach far from any rocks.
Teachite a beautiful rock you screwed up and use to demonstrate to others why you shouldn't do something. Sometimes this is a long term by product of the Oopsium-Dropite-Breakite-Profanium series of reactions.
Forcium - too much of this mineral often leads to the Oopsium-Dropite series of reactions and should be avoided.
On the positive site
Ooo-la-la-ite (man that looks good)
Spousium-Enchantrum (a very rare stone that your significant other is actually impressed by your project despite your years of lapidary)
Congratium - something made out of stone you give to someone for a significant achievement (i.e. retirement)

How about a name for that which might be picked up and upon closer examination it is found to nothing more than old dried out poop? I have a suggestion, but I'll just keep it to myself.

I love all the inventive names. However, we are simple folks around here, so it we don't know the name, we call it rock.

Throwerite, when you need to throw it right over there. I remember years ago on rockhounding trips folks used to say they were sorting out the keepers from the throwing rocks.

A friend of mine calls rocks that have bird poo on them "poopite".... Not to be confused with crapite. A material that you thought had potential BEFORE you slabbed it!

Goddammitite.
A rock you picked up and hauled a mile to the truck, only to realize that it was one you meant to leave behind and left the good one at the dig site. Also a rock that is completely solid until it breaks in the saw, wrecking your brand new blade.
