No, but you might get the Tijuana Tallywhacker Termites.
They bore right into your wood.

Probably passing through on the way home from Phoenix, Friday, possibly Saturday of the QIA powwow. Weather and Moms health will be a determining factor.

I am planning to go but have no idea about lodging. I have never been to a show larger than 30-40 small vendors.
If traffic isn't ridiculous, I don't mind staying in another town and driving in from it..?

I am planning to go but have no idea about lodging. If traffic isn't ridiculous, I don't mind staying in another town and driving in from it..? I'll second what Scott said - stay in Blythe or Ehrenberg. This year we stayed at the Best Western in Ehrenberg - good clean quiet hotel with some good dog-walking sand dunes adjacent if you bring a pooch. The truck stop next door didn't bother us a bit. There are also AirBnB deals to be had if you are willing to drive (easy desert country roads) to commute down from say Parker/Lake Havasu etc. Might add a little more of a vacation feel to it. My best advice - bring a lot of money lol. The PowWow is unbelievable - it's a huge outdoor show - we barely made it through two years in a row. By the last few rows you're just so tired it's time to cut across and shortcut haha. I started off last year telling myself I was going to be *very* careful and selective and still ended up blowing my budget by literally hundreds of dollars on mostly slabs. Be sure to save some money for Tony's booth and the rest of Desert Gardens. By the end of the month we've found it to be a dwindling show but there are still a lot of smoking deals to be had.

LOL Tommy. Yep, there are a few good spots west of town. Definitely want to stay away from the rif raff on the east of town...lol. (oh, did i say that out loud? my bad..LOL) If you want clothing optional the Magic Circle is a nice boondocking area. I usually boondock at La Posa West or La Posa South and get a permit for the season which is $180 for all winter until April. If you want to stay shorter time they have two week permits too. If you stay in any of the BLM areas you can use the trash, water, and dump for free when you have the permit. There are places to stay that are free. Jean usually stays in Roadrunner area that is SW of town and has a 14 day stay limit but no charge.

Our plans aren't carved in stone yet but we'll probably only be staying for an extended weekend again.
