This is the first time I have combined the mediums like this...I got some Tibetian silver from my cousin when I was down in Florida back in May...I was dragging ass on doing anything..When I was digging around for something else I ran across the Star Garnet I got a while back and said it was time...So last month I made this... I was trying to get it smooth and my wife said she liked it how it was...So I stopped and she took it..lol Hope ya'll like it ...John

I do like. But are you sure its a star garnet? From the photos, the silk following the hexagonal crystal structure looks more like star ruby. Regardless, it's a nice shape that complements the stone. Almost reminds me of a ball that's been caught in a baseball mit (musta stung catching that - made a bit of a crater).

Thank You...I believe you are correct on the star Ruby...It was labeled as a garnet on the container...Thanks for the proper ID...John

Very nice. Yup, pink star corundum, probably from Mysore, India.

Gotta love it when your garnets turn into rubies... Love that silver, I think google is in my near future.

That's beautiful, John! Zero gap between stone and metal. Nice shape of the pendant.
