What can one do with it?

Sell it to the metaphysical types. Tell 'em it will cure ___________________ <- insert ailment du jour here.
Give it to kids, they love sparkly rocks. Parents, not so much once the little urchins start getting the sparklies all over everything.
Have seen it cabbed before. Not thinking I would try tumbling it.

I'm not saying it's not a good/fun rock, I have boxes of it. Just don't know that much can be done with it. I should open a metaphysical store. With my rock collection I could probably "cure" all the world's ailments and afflictions (whether real or imagined) other than maybe ugly and stupid. And, curing stupid would be the last thing I would want to do - if I opened a metaphysical store.

One thing I recall seeing with specular hematite was it was cut in slabs and then coated with some kinda epoxy or urethane. Very shiny slab then and the sparkly bits can't come off. Those slabs were very cool. Would make neat drink coasters or the like.
Gotta remember to try that someday...

Curious why you have boxes of it. 😉 Like you, I like it! A lot. Probably have 50 - 75 pounds of the stuff. Added to stock for my someday metaphysical rock shop.

Says the front is polished ... my butt. That's coated with something. Like I was talking about above. "Hematite is used to enhance relationships and communication. This stone is very useful for supporting your goals, hopes, and dreams. Sorting out your thoughts and mind is a lot easier when you have Hematite by your side. Hematite is a strong stone that helps the formation of red blood cells." I'm gonna live to be 200! Wonder what helps with CRS...?

My local pet store sells it for $3 or $4 per pound. It actually looks really cool underwater. I was gonna buy a hunk but decided against it, since I think it's from the UP or Minnesota & I could go collect my own lol

This is a mountain of it, not a field of it. It's a long way down that hill behind her.

The really neat pieces have quartz inclusions. I do not believe quartz exhibits positive meta physical effects on CRS. Personally speaking.
Stuff just lies around on the ground.
