Second rock hunt of 2017 TX trip. Once again Teri Smith took me to 2 locations. First stop was "Butcher Knife Draw"; easy terrain, mostly flat with a wide variety of jasper, agate, petrified wood & fossils found in gravel beds that washed down from surrounding mountains over the millennia. (first 7 pics)

The second stop I call "The Flats", don't remember Teri telling me a name for it. The gravel here was smaller and more spread out, but I still found some nice pieces. Including a rock hammer! (last 3 pics)

This trip cost me $45 and I brought home about 20 lbs.
