Oh yea, the pretty rocks ! Checking out the scenery ! Y'all turned green way faster than Atlanta. Do a lot of people collect on that creek ? In S Alabama they ride ATV's on such flat creeks, not sure if Mississippi allows such. Impresive agates for us south folks. Coral is off the chart, great eye for the pretties Melissa. Looks like a good creek for the shallow water Devil, I offer limo service MrMike Jim that last photo is just a wee bit creepy 😂😂 thank goodness the water is way to shallow for water devils haha Some of this creek is on Federal land and pretty much the rest is butted up to personal land put it's still considered a public water way. There are a few people that hunt it but mostly for its pet wood. I can only speak about a 4 mile stretch though (2 miles in either direction from my starting point). Only discovered a real sweet spot last summer and when I rock hound it's almost CSI GRID like 😂 it takes me a while. With all this rain (yay) my stream has turned into a shallow river and so much is new I can't seem to get much farther but I will! Haven't seen any 4 wheelers but I'd love to take my side by side if it's permitted. That would make it so much easier!

Super finds, Mel. Who woulda thunk it in Mississippi? I'm diggin' that creek, miles of solitude. That's were I go when I need to get away! It's quiet, no cell service. It's just me and my sister and the rocks. It's beautiful and you absolutely never know what you'll find.

Great pics of some stunning rocks! I love that red coral and the yellow/pink one, but the green one, HOLY COW! And great job with the cut! Are you planning to slab it or leave as halves?

You certainly have some awesome finds there, Mel. That fossil coral is the bee's knees, though.
You find it in a creek bed in Mississippi, we find similar here in the southern deserts of Cali!
Great location, gorgeous finds. Keep them coming! Thanks for sharing. Jean

, , , , Have the big half gluing to a block right now for cutting tomorrow. This is a picture of one of the smaller "fossil" rocks I cut. Very solid but not sure of what it will look like. I'm also glueing one of those to a block.

That last one is awesome! Make a great 'eye' cab. Perfect cut. From the pictures I couldn't see anything to clue me into what would be on the inside. You've got the lucky touch for sure. How hard is that crinoid piece? All of out crinoid matrix here in Tennessee is really soft and crumbles easily. Always wanted a solid piece to slab and polish for a display. Here's your pics I promised! That's slabs from 1 and I have another one almost ready to go into the saw.

HOLD IT! RIGHT THERE! I don't think the law allows you to have THAT MUCH fun. Better stop enjoying that new toy so much. You may get in trouble! 8^)

Whilikers, your crick must run through Botswana. Howdy Colin Do you think that's what it is?? I'm telling you I find the weirdest shit!! I also have a small pink see through stone that's a hardness of 8. These people that claim certain things can only be found in one place are FULL OF CRAP. Just my 2 cents 😂
