Sure wish I could have made this trip. I'm sure you all had a blast out there! The rocks are just the icing on the cake.. the memories last a life time Jeannie and I just had dinner with 1dave. His body might be slow. His mind is not. Neither is his car!!! Dave, slow down behind the wheel!! If you would purchase a truck like Tony's you could keep up!

This is a piece I dug out from under a bush. I think it's number two on my cut list.

Too big. Won't ft in my tumbler. If it wont fit in your tumbler send it to me.. If I cant get it in one of mine. Ill build a tumbler around it..That was all you got ? One rock? I heard there were several rocks in Utah. Bet your body will feel it tomorrow. And your tail gate feels it now..So does the truck's tail gate..Good job you guys..

I think Mel flew back home Sun. Give her time to unwind. She mailed home some FRBs. I'm sure they'll arrive soon & we'll get photos. I'm been pretty wiped out after 2 days of hounding in the sun. I start a new job today. Give me time to post a few pics. Lynn

Mel is trying to get her creek legs back after walking on dry land and collecting.. Did they really put water in her boots to help teach her to walk on dry land??

Yeah, I hate flying back one time zone. I wasn't talking about today Scott, I understand most are headed home today. It was the two days of no posts. Just found it odd that our Energizer Bunny hadn't posted a picture of each and every rock she found every night. Guess she was having too much fun! Hey, is your 250 pound chunk of Picasso the grey & black or the brown with darker veining? Can't wait to see it. And the 20" sphere you make out of it!

You need to make a bowling ball sphere. That would be cool. And great find.

Just got home a couple hours ago. It was a hard trip on the vehicles, after a couple days of driving over sharp rocks with no problems we picked up a nail in town! They couldnt fix it so we had to buy new tires in Cedar City for the pickup. On the way home hit a stretch of road with some big potholes and smashed a bearing on the trailer (there were a couple of big rocks in there to help!), no place to get parts on a Sunday night so we borrowed another trailer to get that trailer home. The borrowed trailer didnt have any lights so we spent the night in Ogden and left this morning for the final stretch home. I will get some pics of rocks when I get them unloaded sometime this week.
The hounding was great but the companionship and camaraderie were what made this trip epic! Thanks for showing us around Lynn, it was a great time!
Tony

On Friday Tony & I found a mine with a door that was open. We went in about 50 feet. I'm not sure what they were mining there, but a few years ago I found a Galena crystal (lead ore) at that location. I heard about a Tungsten mine in the area too. Lynn

The Picasso boulder looks light grey and tan with black lines. It is a big piece without any breaks to see inside. Time will tell. IF the 36" at class can handle it. Lol Tommy we have the sandstone pix. They are at the limit of my ability to lift a rock. And one wasn't enough to leave with!! As soon as I have a hot Sunday afternoon I'll be coring these to smithereens for coasters. zarguy Jeannie found some killer stuff and stashed it behind the ice chest!! Killer yellow and red mosses... Photo posts after we get some pork soup dumplings and red bean sesame balls. And the video of catmandewe pulling his jasper boulder out of a ditch!
