I can't get out in the field anymore, but I enjoy wandering via Google Earth. Today I came upon this interesting formation. Note how the rounded boulder field seem to have been uplifted? No one appears to have ever been there. The location is at the bottom of the screen Drawing back a little, things seem to have drained off to the east-northeast. Ah if I only had a week to climb around . . .

What is special about the uplifted rocks that would make you want to investigate?

Your wife is wrong ADave, You're smart. Look at the Ranches east of Alpine Texas on google maps. Interesting there too. I'm pulling my curtains after finding out about you too. Grin .

Wondering impact crater, pieces of glass around it or??, The big meteor that hit up by Flag could have calved a smaller one. Someone smarter will be along soon. Interesting though.

Hey...where did my post go? I could have swore I added one right after the OP. 1dave , doesn't this look to be just east of the Deer Creek Fire Agate Mine. It shows up when you zoom out a bit. Any chance this spot is covered by a claim? Regards. Dave

I actually drove through Peridot and never even stopped. How dumb was that? . . . Well, actually I understand Apaches can get riled if you take their pretty green rocks.
