I have slowed down a lot in all things rocks lately but got the bug this rainy weekend. I felt inspired by fantastic5's awesome stuff so I cabbed and bezel set this today. After a five month break I expected to be frustrated but this one actually went better/easier than any I have done in the past. Maybe I needed that break. Botswana agate Thanks for looking Chuck

Nice piece, Chuck. That gorgeous stone deserved that setting! Yeah I cut about 10 cabs this weekend planning to groove wrap them all but as soon as I seen this pattern develop I knew I wanted it bezel set. Chuck

Yeah, it's super nice. Don't see too many nice ones anymore. I have to give credit to my 12 year old. He loves bots and he has bought several really nice slabs at shows over the years. He actually started this cab and about 10 other bots cabs a few months ago and I just decided to finish it up today. Chuck

Beautiful Drummond Island Rocks! Glad my beginnings could inspire a master. Could you post the back of your piece? My instructor doesn't do a lot of the split bails and I'm not sure if i did mine as neatly as i could.

Drummond Island Rocks Chuck, that's a beautiful piece. I could only hope that my bots turned out that nice - let alone the jewelry work. Dave

All credit goes to radio for the bail design. Chuck

Very nice stone. Like the simple setting with it. What gauge silver is the bezel? Vic

That's really nice. I like how the bezel matches the shape of the banding in the agate. The whole thing is just really neat and shiny too!

That is the perfect combo of stone and setting. A beautiful example of complex (stone) and simple (setting). When I say simple I certainly do not mean the craftsmanship!
