VERY, VERY nice. Getting hat polish on that big flat surface is praise worthy. Great job. How is the mammoth tooth to work with? I have heard it is crumbly. Vic

Never had it crumble, but Mammoth tooth can have hairline fractures that will cause a cab to split, so if I see indications of that I back it like Turquoise before cutting. The biggest issue to deal with is undercutting, especially on larger cabs.

Many thanks for the positive comments from all of you! When this piece was commissioned and I did some preliminary sketches, I knew it would be a beauty, but the final result was beyond my expectations. I don't toot my own horn very often, but this piece made me proud.

Arlen; What guage is the arrowhead? How where the scallops made? radio I love seeing your work. Thanks Scott! 14 gauge sheet. I used a 15mm coarse grinding wheel in the Foredom to cut the scallops, then smoothed them up with a fine wheel. lots of sanding and pre polish went into that piece to get that finish

Wonderful! Hand crafted pieces are certainly a double-edged sword. One of a kind but there can only be one! This is exactly why I feel like I'd have a hard time selling my pieces to people, but I'd make it happen because it's practically a dream to do something you like, make money from it, AND leave a legacy.
