The Glendora Gem and Mineral Club Show was very fun. I had my first display of my work for the last nine months there: And Scott @shotgunner and Dave aDave and I met up at Point Mugu to collect some more rocks for slabbing and spheres. We saw some dolphins and a sea lion out in the water while we were collecting.

Yep. Had a great time with Scott @shotgunner and jeannie. Always great to get together. The weather cooperated for Scott who was lugging big boulders up the hill. Jeannie, I like your display...especially the way you have rough and finished material together. Well done. Dave

But wasn't able to walk with it up the 20' cliff. I'll keep training. Maybe next time I'll be able to hump it out. Here is the haul.

Definitely looks like you're haven't second thoughts on this one Scott Ha! I just hoisted out of the rockpile closer to the camera and set it on that rock. I was catching my breathe and visualizing how i could get it to shoulder, then forty yards to the path up the twenty foot cliff. After a moment, i lifted it to shoulder and tried walking. Too unstable. I let it fall and forgot about it, until this pic was published.

Scott Maybe, rock hounding should be easier or you should pick smaller rocks. Also You didn't post the pic of Jeannie carrying your rock up the hill. :) I but see the pic of you sucking in air. The display looks very nice, job well done.

I can smell the Bengay from here. Nope! Didn't even need ibuprofen either. I guess my recent trips have helped!
