Ok actual pics of some of the rockhounding trips Light green/bluish botryoidal Blob. It's so cute! , Red with black spects , Mostly an opaque green with gemmy blue at the top , You will see a lot of greens here but this one is also combined with a soft purple! , , , Next is a neon looking porous rock with gemmy inclusions , , Next 2 are totally different in shape but are both mostly green with gemmy blue showing: , , , , This one seems to be made of mostly a quartz material but has red inclusions , (forgive the belly! To much French Beer) Group Photo , Breakfast view , , Just For Fun: No Dogs Shita Here! , Free range Food: , , , ... Bamboo Is Not as sturdy as you would think: . Looking forward to getting home tomorrow!!! Great pictures Mel, Even if the rocks aren't the quality that you find in the stream and in Utah, they will always be a neat reminder of the trip. How do you know that bamboo isn't as strong as it looks? Did you have to pay to replace a couple beds? How hard is bamboo? can you scratch it with toe nails? Thanks for the glimpse of a different world and not so much of a muffin top matron in sweats. hehehe

Hey Melissa, thanks for actually taking pictures of the rocks. Like to see the shore rocks. Me and wife stopped at a pebble beach in Jamaica many years ago(interested in playing and not collecting so much). Darn if we did not find red and green jasper, some banded agate. Great agates. I wished we had spent more time collecting. well worn pebbles 1-3 inches. North shore about 20 miles east of Ocho Rios. Not much beach access except by walking. Not sure how many pebbley beaches they have there.

Maybe our next trip will be to there an I can pick us up a few.

Jamaica would be worth the effort. Plus you are right on the beach.

Have you two gone parasailing there? The water/view has to be amazing from a few hundred feet up.

Nice to see a picture of Col. But no one commented on the two in the background? yeah I think cliff mentioned something about a muffintop in sweats. and for the record its 3 people standing in that group not 2. 4 if you count the guy behind his left shoulder.

I have dissected them, but never had the pleasure of eating the flesh.
