this chert, is found in a local river by myself and it makes a striking lapidary material. I'ts just slightly softer than agate but takes an excellent polish and the pattern is tight enough to be usable goo.gl/photos/ybMNQN4mSTpRVUNh6

Thanks, 6yrs of going there and about 40lbs of it. Oh well, got about 60lbs of rhodonite and some nice red jasper too so it all works out

Yes, I really like that chert, you could use it for tiling... if you had enough supply.

We'll slowly convert the marble users. How big does those chert nodules come in?

I've only found about 40lbs of it in 5 years of hunting the river so I guess I could tile a few Barbie and Ken play houses LOL It's semi translucent so it makes a nice cab with depth
