I just called to get a freight quote to an Atlanta freight dock to see what Lampus shipping rates are. And confirmed, the 3000 pounds in 50 pound bags costs the same as a 3000 pound super sack. The bags are sewn sealed kraft paper with poly liner. Could a 50 pound bag with the paper bag fit in a lfrb ? Got 50 of 80 grit from Kingsley that barely fit with just a poly bag . That is a question wigglin. It may have to be pounded into shape before it goes in a LFRB. Same deal w/50 pounds from Kingsley.

Ah, a Washington Mills in Illinois. I knew they have facilities in various locations in US. Just was not sure which one did what. Looks like you found it. Could get a list of distributors, they may have a distributer in many towns. Most likely they do.

The box the Kingsley came in was quite bulged out when it arrived , not sure if another pound would have fit in there . I might be interested depending on all the $ details .

my supply was in 5 gallon pails. when I sent some to james my intention was to send him 10 lbs to try. but the day I told him I would send it out I got called in early and didn't make it to the post office. while at work someone stabbed a bag. I literally ran up and shoveled up 100 or so pounds as the guy was coming up the isleway with the sweeper. long story short. I ghetto packaged 2 hefty garbage bags in a lfrb (the strechy force flex kind) and dumped 1 pail in. the bags kept it from going all the way into the corners but it was still pretty full. weighed in at just under 50 lbs at the post office. it must be less dense because of the bigger chunks but in my non expert opinion I do not believe a 50 lbs bag will fit without some serious packing it in. however if a larger lawn and leaf bag were used which allowed it to go all the way into the corners 50 lbs would easily fit in a lfrb.

My point exactly , I think someone would have to dump the paper bags and repack in plastic bags .

Freight quote from Lampus came in at $500 to Atlanta. My shipper wanted $1100. Lampus gets the big discounts due to their volume.
Before I dumped the bags I would first try to pack the existing bag in a LFRB. That is some dusty heavy stuff to re-bag. Shipping in 5 gallon buckets increases shipping costs. Just my 2 cents.

I only mentioned it b4 you said quote was same for bagged vs unbagged as a possible extra savings. not to mention at same price even if you had to tear open bags and repackage its already weighed. 5 gal buckets were only mentioned as that's how I shipped it to my car lol.

my supply is hit and miss at that point in time I had a surpluss. which is why I sent him so much. I picked james since hes an expairimentor and always trying out of the box stuff. added bonus james sent me back a box of primo tumbling stuff (I didn't even ask for) at the same time I also have a limited supply so please don't ask for samples. just putting that out there.
I tried it compaired to some other grit which I believe is around 30 grit. (I may have to send a sfrb to james to have him compare to his known grits) but in my opinion the bulk has outperformed it.
I personally think that james may be overdosing and should try at 1cup and a little clay hint hint lol. he uses more grit than I do in bigger barrels. but then again he knows what hes doing more than I do. going into it my main objective was to see if it would time release and keep cutting longer. if hes adding 1.5 cups at 1 week interavals at lets say 1/2 to 1/3rd cost per pound. compairing that to a half cup of sic 30 with another half cup 2 days later I'm guessing the cost will be close to break even maybe cheaper. but now hes opening barrels only once a week. in my head to head compairison on a couple bigger stones I preshaped with the "supergrinder" with uniformish sized scratches my results were the bulk sic did more cutting in the same time period.
wasn't to long ago no one thought of using ao-80 to cut out 2 or 3 grit steps. just sayin.

james try www.uship.com/commodity_selection.aspx?c=1750 although you will have to find out size on bagged pallets. I tried it with 4 foot by 4 foot x 3 foot and I'm not sure the pallets are 4 foot they may be 42 inchers. and I put pickup time a week out figuring if you put in today or tommorows date it may come back a higher rate.

It will be hard to beat their $500 for 3000 pounds for a single pallet dock delivery. Freightquote.com would probably come in at $1500-$2000. Probably more. If they were shipping truck load quantity of pallets to a given dock in Atlanta the price could probably be cut to $200 - $300. Shipments that size would about always go to the end user. End user would have it's own dock and lifts. Like your company. Hard to beat the freight rates on a company that sells masonry and bulk mining materials. We are mere peons ordering one pallet. Laughable order for those guys.

Or could simple cut each bag and pull 2-3 pounds and repack that and tape the almost full cut bags before boxing ??

Get caught with THC oil in Georgia... "Hashish and concentrates are treated more harshly than regular marijuana: Possession of any amount is a felony with a minimum penalty of 1 year in jail and a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison." Yes, a minimum of one year in jail for a small quantity of oil. Good grief.

Yes, a minimum of one year in jail for a small quantity of oil. Good grief. As humans we do the darndest things to have control over other people. In Colorado the stuff has been legal for a while and all is settling out. The 20 somethings that moved in are the only problem. They displace the illegals from the welfare and try to grow pot for sale. As more get busted for DUis and the like they move back out of state to mommy's house and that's done. The wholesale of a pound of good pot has dropped from 4 k to around $900.00. Lot of old people around here have grown it as an oddity but have not messed with it since. No purpose. Some people swear by the oils for pain relief in the wrists etc. Not used it on the wrists.. Old school here, use it occasionally in other ways. Bourbon is still my drug of choice. With as hard as you have worked and played your body, it might be worth trying. No real idea. Just be guessing.

Doc put me on opiates starting about 3 years ago coloradocliff. I use them responsibly if that is possible(sticking to the doctor's recommended doses). I suppose I am addicted to them. But do not keep increasing the dose to counter the diminishing effects. Whiskey ! That's a real man method !

My wife had the bottom ~11% of her back fused on Apr. 28, long recovery. She is using a marijuana oil with some other stuff in it [topical application] rather than opiate pain meds, it's working quite well.

Don't know if the whiskey gonna kill my ills but have used it off and on for that for particularly bad owees.. Like paper cuts, bumped elbow, imaginary pains, and unicorns. grin Help the muscles feel better and kills the liver.. great options. 6 ounces of option "B" please. Diminished effectiveness. Yep Had burned out on hydrocodone and got addicted to them. Didn't realize it till I quit them because they stopped working for me. I actually went thru mild withdrawal symptoms for 2 weeks or so. Someone who is super medically could tell you why. vegasjames would be the one for suggestions. He might consult you for a 1 rock fee. hehehe He might also tell you, "Suck it up, Buttercup "! Hopefully he will prescribe some of the Colorado Crème to sooth your wrists.. grin..
