Does it have a waxy feel? Are the darker portions magnetic?
The lighter parts look like Jasper/Chert to me. The darker ones Hematite. Unusual combo from where I live, but anything is possible.

I don't notice a waxy feel. Not magnetic that I can tell. Color is actually very close to tiger's eye though the material does not resemble tiger's eye rough at all.

It vey well could be binghamite. My dad was given some by Mr Bingham. Thought it was a possibility but this looks different than the other piece that I have identified.

In the right context it could just be a nice jasperized petrified wood slab. Something about the patterns and textures remind me of local wood from New Mexico.
