I live in northwest Montana and have just recently gotten interested in rockhounding. Don't know my a$$ from six bits about rocks in the wild but I love them and love hunting for them. I marvel at their beauty. The natural designs are just exquisite. Tumbling is on my to do list but I don't have a tumbler yet. Meanwhile I gather stones and paint some of the ones that have no tumbling/polishing future. Looking forward to getting clued in by what look to be some really smart dudes and dudettes.

Welcome from Tennessee, around these parts the saying goes "Don't know their arse from a hole in the ground".

Hello walker, don't feel bad I still do not know anything usefull to anyone, but i like the fact that you will purdy them rocks up and make them special.here in Colorado they have a FB page called 719rocks. People paint rocks post pictures and give a clue to where they go hide them. I think it is neat and like here, you see skill levels from finger painters to picaso's lots of people with kids getting out the house. Good to see. I'm all for getting the kids involved when possible.

Welcome from California! Love the painted rocks. I bought my wife a custom painted rock with a scene from her childhood home in the Bavarian Alps. The man who painted it has a store on Etsy selling his painted creations. He did a rally nice job with it.
