You could call it agate too. Pink likely from magnesium salt.
What is the source? Can I buy 100#?

I'd do a scratch test in an inconspicuous spot. If it is fairly soft (Mohs 4.5), then smithsonite is another possibility. I've had chunks that had the same color and translucency (with an almost waxy texture).
