Biggest advantage of the Thumlers B is the 5 year warranty on drum and liner. Order extra lid gaskets or make your own if you have a local supplier with 2 ply neoprene or similar.

I have a Lortone QT12 and a high speed Thumler's B. I prefer the B...more efficient.
But, "I'm just a tumbler. Born under punches"

No way you are loading 25 pounds in a Thumler's Model B tumbler. 20 lbs maybe, but that is pushing it and a full load including rocks, water and grit. I run 20 lb loads all the time with good results. Over 20 lbs and you are going to go through drive pulley belts in a quickness. Own 11 Model B units myself (kinda) 9 Model Bs and 2 high speed motor Chinese knockoffs. Wouldn't own a MJR tumbler if someone gave me one for free. Well, I'd keep the base and motor and throw the plastic jug (tumbler barrel) away or use it to mix cocktails in. Who is putting more than about 10-12 lbs in a model B? I want to buy the diamonds they would produce if they compressed that much. grin.
Yeah those ugly ole milk jugs can tumble a load though. Optioning only. Ugly and I personally wouldn't want to own one. Kinda right there beside James's tire roller-gravel crusher. Of course his was free, . The barrel he designed, built and runs are sure an option if someone want to build a heavy duty one at home. Thinking 25 gallon margarita mixer is a great idea though.

Thanks for helping me out. grin.. Quite right, blue is blue. But as I recall, you had posted "One of my rotaries is an old Scott-Murray. Good barrels and almost identical with a model B I have." So you were, in effect, saying it was almost blue. I merely pointed out that it is more than almost blue, it is blue. I'll help ya out anytime. Which way did you come in? You're welcome. smirk..

Aint no youngster hon but you sure do aggravate people for no reason. I know lots of people from many walks of life and never knew someone like you. Not meaning good nor bad, just making a statement. Id appreciate if you weren't so darn nitpicky. My tolerance is limited, you have seen that. People like to have fun in life, you know that so please. Leave the B at home and bring your fun self. Thank you dearie, Now off to the rock show in Buena vista I go.
