Beautiful stuff!!! I had the same problem with some I had, too. Looks like you have some real salvageable ones, though. Great cuts.

Nice stuff, cabbs are awsome, I say don't give up on that one with the fracture line, if it holds together toll the end it will have character that the others don't have, and if you don't like it still send it to me along side my nameless rock sanctuary, I'm starting a not so perfect cabb colony in the Rockies for cabbs just like that,

Sweet cabs! I'd say you made the most of some problematic slabs.

Thanks for the great comments everyone! Every new rock is like a textbook, one that I can rip out pages and re-sell :-)

Cool material and great job on the cabs! Several years ago I was lucky enough to score a big chunk of the Chatoyant Malachite that was very solid all the way through with no voids. That being said, this spring a friend brought me a chunk he wanted slabbed and it basically just fell apart in the saw. Lots of cab sized pieces, but no complete slabs

Would it be worth it to cap it with quartz in a doublet?

Would it be worth it to cap it with quartz in a doublet? Good question! I think it would be awesome and it would heighten the chatoyancy, too.
