What type of Jasper can be? Brecciated ? Collected in Dana Point Beach CA. Thank you!

Interesting, but not a type I am familiar with. Since the entire coastal range north of Ventura is full of Franciscan Formation chert outcrops and long shore drift can carry rocks a long way along the coast, many types of chert (jasper) can show up in California beach deposits. Your example does not match any I know of but there are a huge number of types. Yours almost looks like a poppy jasper or agate variant of some kind . Neat find....Mel

only a handful of people knows about the black jade, but it's there. look for black rocks and do a scratch test with a knife
