Very cool, but no idea. I am partial to green rocks. Often means copper staining.

CAN you give us wet pics and some diagnostics?
Scratch and acid test will tell much.
Scratch with a steel knife. Report results here.
Put one drop of ironout on it and report results here.

Really hard to say. Could be several things. Like Scott says, a few clues would help.

I've seen similarly patterned and colored material in variscite (don't recall where it was supposed to have come from). Certainly variscite will be soft (about the same hardness as turquoise). If it is variscite, using acid to test can really eat into/damage the piece.

Thanks y'all for the comments. Based on the hardness, I think it is Variscite. Thank you for the good words about the bracelet, my wife makes them.

Looks like copper ore with malachite. You can also see traces of limonite in the piece.
