A few more from yesterday.... This gem bone came to me nearly this exact size- just did a little shaping. The white you see is polish. I didn't even see it till I took pictures. I'll be cleaning it up. It is in some of the very, very slight texture. One pit. I may fill it, dunno. This was very hard and took a liquid polish. I can't believe that I was so lucky to find this piece. I've never had any yellow before. Peruvian pink opal. The daylight washed out the delicate pink. This is some, I believe, onyx that geezer sent me. I know nothing else about it. It is very pretty with beautiful colors. Polished beautifully, too. Some more rosalinda. I just can't get enough of this. Makes nice jewelry and the cabs are popular. I hit it with 50k- it was a nice improvement. That's it- thanks for looking y'all!

Really neat colored bone and the Geezer onyx is really different.

If you had not mentioned the white spots on the bone I would have thought they were opalized areas. Nice bunch of cabs.

Beautiful cabs! That is a stunning bone, no doubt about that!
I'd be interested in your "polish removal" technique - I've never had any luck with that.

For this one it was real easy- a cotton ball and acetone. The texture is very shallow. Wasn't undercutting, just the way it is textured. It was the oily diamond paste. I need to reshoot my pictures now. It looks much better.

I could probably coat it with glue and repolish it, too. But, in the hand it really isn't noticeable.

Love the dino bone. The color combo is truly outstanding, and the "polish" spots do not distract in my opinion.
