Wow We have the number one and number two in the world best stone tumbling polishers. Bet the last world champion member Chuck, @drummond Island Rocks is thrilled for them as much as we are thrilled about all three of our people Congrats to RTH, the community system for learning and all the winners who have yet to win. Cliff, you do realize Jugglerguy won the whole thing last year???
And meviva before that???
We are chocked full of champions around here!
Knew Rob and Chuck won it but not meviva. Andrea kicked butt too. Thanks ! Wouldn't think a thirty year old could do that well... grin Your turn next Randy You're the one my money is on for next year.

Congratulations winners!! Your stones look absolutely gorgeous! I too entered, but only placed 5th. Seeing the winner's stones today i'm amazed I even placed that high, you guys are amazing! I did so well because of reading all the great info everyone provides on this great forum. This was only my first tumble. I got a tumbler for christmas and thought what the heck let's join the competition! Thanks guys for the great wealth of information this website is wonderful. I'm told next year's stones will be fun, but no clue what rock they will be, but i'd say they have decided on what it will be.

I found out I was 5th because this year the person running it was able to compile a list showing where each participate placed. I don't know where you found the announcement for the winners, but I'm a newish member of the Feather River Lapidary club that hosts this contest and they had the list at our meeting on tuesday and I helped set up our annual show today so got to see the winners' stones today. I still don't know what they do with the stones for all the rest of us, I forgot to ask during all the bustle today, but when you sign up for the contest the rules state that you don't get back the stones you submit. I was only curious where they go when the contest is complete. Just cause a member of the club joined the tumbling contest, we don't get any leg up or any more info than the other participants, I just skip the mailing process and receive and send in my stones in person. I still paid the same fee to join too. And got the same mailing box full of rock.

A very belated congrats on your victory.

I was a lurker in the forums since i got my first tumbler for christmas. I read many articles and hints and tips for tumbling and applied what i learned to my new hobby. You guys are the best! I officially joined tonight so that I could congratulate the winners. I'm hoping to get a picture of the display for the contest tomorrow. I'll go read up on how to share pics on here.
