Pretty soon, I won't be able to cab. Soooooo.... I'm cabbing every chance I get.
Had to finish breaking in that new 80 grit today. Started early and got 13 done today. One, I already gave away (a big ole blue tiger eye my granddaughter loved) and one had to get some glue.
I messed up the settings on my nikon and can't remember what they were, so a few of these look a little off.
Indonesian petrified coral. This is pretty big since the polyps are fairly large.
Hornitos poppy jasper. I think Tommy tossed this in an rth box I won. The color is more brick red and the yellow is not as strong... Keep in mind these are close ups.
I LOVE this! This is some wicked wild sagenite that I picked up. It's really awesome in person.
A really cool big cab of Berber agate.
I REALLY like this. I call it Black Sun Rising. This crazy lace has a black pyrite sun the fashes as it moves. Sadly, it undercut a bit on the 50k.
Another crazy ylace. This is real long and started out totally different. The pattern got lost in the grind.
True parrot wing chrysocolla. This was mega hard!!! The colors are totally accurate. I call this a flying kite. I didn't want to waste any of this. It was all I had of it.
A really sweet Lindamarie. I forgot I had this!
Drummond Island Rocks Chuck sent me this a long time ago and I just now got to cutting it. Neither he now I know what it is, but I really like it. Kinda looks like shrinkwood, don't it?
This is real cool in person. You have the foreground moss on the top like you are looking through a canopy of spanish moss into a swamp. The shape looks wonky, but its only the picture.
And last but not least... a Madison Blue from Andy (can't remember his screen name) This has a big vug of bytroidal druzy- looks more blue in person. I really like this material.
I hope to cab tomorrow, too. Maybe we'll have a warm winter and I can cab till Jan.
