Finally got around to taking some photos today of batches that I pulled in August and just about one week ago. Getting deeper into camera settings, but lighting is still lacking. I'll get something decent one of these days. Also just realized that I should probably be taking photos using the larger file size, so cropping doesn't make them fuzzy. Oh well...live and learn. It's not so much that the photos are lacking, I've still not found a good light source yet. I happen to think your photo setup knocks mine out of the park lighting-wise. I'll get something one of these days...maybe I can just steal Randy's Garage Rocker and I'll be done with it. Baby steps with this stuff, as I'm still buying lenses and other equipment. Best regards. I would tell you to stop searching/buying and use whatever was used for the above pictures. They are great! And I forgot to say I love #14.

Super bunch of tumbles, Dave. I'd say you have it down now. Tumbles AND photos. I agree with Chuck, that Bot group pic is sweet! Also like the Lavic and #7, what is that? Keep on rolling those rocks, we'll be looking forward to the next batch.

I'll take our photo discussion offline, but I appreciate the support. #7 is Larsonite (Gary Green) that I decided to take a chance with and tumble it. It's not the best material for tumbling...look close and you'll find pits and undercutting in spots, though I do like its color. I went through a few rocks just to get those out of the batch. The others were so bad they were just discarded. Dave

Picked the stuff a few months ago on an outing with jeannie and @shotgunner. Finicky stuff to tumble, as it pits as well. But, I like the colors. Dave
