A few more cabs from September. Various sources. Green plumes from the Singleton Ranch, self collected in 2015. Burgundy/pink moss from Singleton 2016. Sorry I picked the photo with the reflection of the light in the moss. Oops! Chrysocolla with malachite Succor Creek picture jasper. Although I have collected at this location, this is from a slab I bought at Quartzsite. The volcano was too cool to pass up. Blue mountain picture jasper. From a couple of chunks I got from Cindy and Kop a few years back. All for now. I have just enough room in my Rockshow album for one more post. I'll try to get it upgraded soon. Thanks for looking! Hope you enjoy! Craig

Love the green plumes. That's a beauty. What did that stone look like in the rough?

Love the green plumes. That's a beauty. What did that stone look like in the rough? Hi Susan It was a flat nodule about the diameter of a tennis ball. It had a dome on the top of translucent white chalcedony with a cavity below of almost clear botryoidal agate. The bed of plume was under that. I was inexperienced at reading the Singleton nodules at that time and I actually cut this one the wrong way. If I would have cut it across the horizontal, I would have gotten a much larger display of plume. As it was, I got three small slabs with plume on one side. Still enough to cab but it reminded me to nip off a bit of the rock with the trim saw before I cut.
You couldn't tell there was green from the outside so it was a suprise. I am hoping to get back on the ranch but it is up for sale. Just when I was getting a feel for it....dang!

Interesting, thanks. I hope they don't sell it, I want to go there in 2018!

Wonder if they would subdivide the rock rich area from the "ranch" and surround homestead area.
I wanna move to Texas, and I like rocks, but not 8 million worth!

Same here. Found two small areas during this past Spring trip which seemed to have higher grade material. No word from Teri yet, my guess is that there will be no trips until the Spring. Hopefully Singleton will be on the menu.
