No, I had tucked that in some other thread where we were all chatting. New kid hanging out with her big brother - Mossberg 590 Shockwave & Mossberg 590A1 I have a 4 day gun class in Alabama next month, gonna take the new kid with me to play with in down time. Want to make a couple minor mods, but this gun looks like all kinds of fun.

Or maybe it because it is sitting on your wagon. Either way its cute ahem...I mean manly!

Love my Mossberg pump. Bad to the bone. I thought you are not supposed to have barrels that short. Limit is like 14 to 15 inches ? Maybe those are that long.

Vegas style.
Not hardly pray & spray with the 590A1 - the long one above to non-shooters. I was in a shotgun class and we were doing drills shooting on the move. The instructor asked if I was missing the target. Not hardly, the shots were all going through the same hole in the target - on the move. Instructor watched and confirmed. I like the ghost ring sight on the A1.
Now the Shockwave - short one may take some practice, but don't count it out of the game. Here is a video of a guy shooting skeet with it! The skeet shooting starts at 2:25 doubles at 4:30
Not such sighted shooting like with a long gun, but with some practice I don't see a problem hitting what I want to. Taking it to my class in Alabama in November, looking forward to putting it to the test.
Shotguns are fun! - although technically, the Shockwave is NOT a shotgun. It is classified as a "firearm". Mossberg figured out a way to get around the rules (legally) to make and sell this gun. Complicated (too much typing) but that is why you can get a shotty with a 14" barrel without the tax stamp. Way good!

Way good! Hey, don't be blocking that botryoidal coral in the wagon with those pea shooters. 14 inches is dang sawed off shot gun. How'd they ever manage that one. long story and i get that. what is pattern at 30 feet ? 5 feet 2 feet ? painful ? can't miss lol. My dream is a 50 caliber sporterized deals. Hurts my shoulder to look at one. Heck, my 270 is scary enough.

A note on modern mapping. Not sure if widespread use will be in our near future. Lidar Lidar removes trees via computerization for topographical visualizations. Rock exposures and ancient civilizations in heavy jungle. I already have used LIDAR for years... mostly site hunting in Louisiana, but a bit here in Texas... Louisiana has 100% coverage, but Texas is lagging behind a bit... Removal of trees from data requires a bit of processing... Alan

Prehistoric occupation and Civil War sites... I am at the Chattahoochee river near the ruins on Sweetwater Creek. www.civilwargeorgia.us/sweetwater-creek-state-park/West bank of Chattahoochee River is riddled with moats on east facing bank hills. Under thick hardwood forests. See west bank of Chattahoochee for 4 miles starting at Interstate I-20 on west side of Atlanta. From 6 Flags down. Should light up Lidar like a Christmas tree. Arrowhead hunted on cleared land on a that east bank and filled a small bucket of musket balls/bullets w/out a metal detector. We used to go to the factory ruins at Sweetwater Creek before it was a park. 1973 to 1974 in highs cool to party. For a time there was a man digging cannonballs. He was filling a galvanized trash can and about did over a several month period.
