To keep from further hijacking Tommy's post, I thought I would bring jamesp challenge over here. 1979 - I was 14 yo here. We were on a road trip to Kentucky to visit my Dad's family and we stopped to shoot guns somewhere in Wyoming. Gotta love those bell bottoms - they were all the rage in the late seventies. 1974 - I was 9-10... good lord, did I really post this?

9 weeks old- I was born with black hair. It all fell out and came back blonde. My daughter's hair did the same. Me too! My mom told me when I was born, I had red skin and black hair. After a short while, it all fell out and came in blond. Six kids in my family, we were all towheads when we were little. I am # three of six, and the only one born with black hair. Weird. Yup, four tow head kids in my family. Only mine came in black. I have 3 towheads. Only the one had black hair. My mom lived long enough to see her granddaughter who has dark hair and blue eyes like her. She was quite happy about that.

Never been one for fashion-statements or big hairdos.... Recovered some pics on my trip home two years ago that I had long forgotten about.... At about 2or3 years of age, I do remember that I had Lederhosen like that, that could stand on their own at any time of the year. DSCN6434 by Kainzer Kurt, on Flickr Confirmation with my brother DSCN6480 by Kainzer Kurt, on Flickr But the biggest surprise came with seeing the similarities having my fathers picture next to mine and my son at the age of 18.... 3 gen 18 by Kainzer Kurt, on Flickr No rebels over here, simple tastes nothing to far out of the norm.....

Since we moved in with Conn I have no idea where I put my old picture albums but I’ll find them today. Gotta warn everyone IT ISN’T GOING TO BE PLEASANT 😂 you remember the story of the ugly duckling? Well... let’s just say I came into my own later in life 🙄

Well... let’s just say I came into my own later in life 🙄 You must have been wearing a mask. Pluck and cute as a button when you stopped by here. Thought you were a lost college gal. Funny how people change. Like tall lanky girls in high school don't get much attention. They grow up and fill out and have to carry a stick to keep the mens away. I didn't hit puberty till 16 or 17. Complex galore awkward.

Flamer ? I was thinking of the photos that Jeff Dunham shows of his youth and wondering where the ventriloquist dummy is. Nice heels on them shoes.

Went great with bell bottom patchwork jeans. Remember riding a bike with bell bottoms & they would get caught in the chain?

And if not caught in the chain serious grease marks that Mom raised cain about. Crazy styles back in those.
