The rough came from Kingsley North. This one had been on my to do list for a while. Need to try the red next time ... IMG_3535 by Ken Vancil, on Flickr Got this Dalmatian Stone from the Rockshed. At one point I had run out of smalls so I used this stuff as filler with some of my batches. Pretty easy tumble when mixed with agates and the like. Two to four weeks and its well rounded, ready to finish. IMG_3538 by Ken Vancil, on Flickr Thanks for looking and keep on rollin' them stones.

I like the dalmatian stone. Always wanted to try some of that but I kept forgetting to add it to my orders!

Another great batch. Did your tiger eye pit at all? I can get it to shape well, but it's not uncommon for me to have it pit some just when I think it's ready to move on. Kind of frustrating at times. BTW, I like working with Dalmatian stone, as it shapes easily. I never have bought it from the Rock Shed, as it was a bit smaller than I wanted to start with. However, I like your idea of using it as smalls. Thanks for the idea.

aDave some of the tiger eye did go bad. At the ends of the "fibers" some pits would develop. Less so along the "fiber" line on one face or another. Broke up most of those along the way, so had a lot of smalls not pictured here ... probably over tumbled some that wouldn't have gotten better ...

Like the tiger eye. That big Dalmatian pile looks cool. Couldn't resist.
