Looks like a severe shock wave hit that rock. Perhaps a freeze. Dried mud that silicified ? Mysterious.

REminds me of Jasper chips within a candle. Cool. Note that those chips were once connected as one. Remove the wax and pull them back together as a single rock. Like a completed jig saw puzzle arranged with a space between the pieces. Same thing happens at a granite quarry. They drill down 100 feet into solid granite and discharge a stick of powerful dynamite at the bottom of the hole = fracking. Thousands of fractures radiate from the point of the explosion but nothing moves or displaces because of the weight above = shock wave. So, there are two choices. Mud shrunk and turned to jasper, then the cracks between filled with silica. Or a powerful shock wave separated the jasper in place. The only geological event that could generate a high speed in place fracture arrangement like that would be a meteor.-not- Volcanic activity can be likened to dynamite blasts and meteor impacts apparently. Better yet, the geologists views on various breccia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breccia
