I like your shop, but I don't see any ventilation. How are you moving air?

meviva That is an Excellent Idea and looks like I will be adopting it and installing one of those. My pipefitting skills will come in handy. Thats the rating they call us HVAC guys anyways. I do have a question what do you do with the drainage rock stuff? do you catch it in a bucket or pale or let it go on the ground?

Pat no rock cutting will be done in the shop. Through the double doors at the end of the room is a covered roofed porch to the outside perfect for my saw cutting which I will make portable. I made an earlier comment that for soldering I can install a FART SUCKER or exhaust fan to the outdoors for that purpose easily enough. ~Duke

There is a washing machine hose connected to the sink drain, and it drains into a hole I dug nearby. I dump tumbler slurry into a bucket and let it dry and throw it into the garbage. Andrea

Andrea meviva Andrea one thing for sure its 28deg outside now with snow forecast for tonight so the piping will need to be drained before winter so it will just get spring to fall usage. Where I will install it is about 20' outside from the double doors on the new Lapidary room. So it will work out perfect for that time Cheers ~Duke

Jewelry making can be dirty!

Yes. I have a Genie. 6”. The fine grit you see in the water pan is also in the air.

Well looks like there will be a dust collector installed in the room and most likely an exhaust fan. And will need a good Shop Vac with a FURRY BRUSH to keep things in order. ~Duke

Window would be nice, too! Looking out a window is good for the soul... and inspiration. ... and ventilation 😄

Love the decals. Where'd you get those??? Well I guess it helps when you have a full blown GRAPHICS SHOP down in the basement. I do plant to integrate some of the graphics into this new venture.

Yes. Of course. The graphics shop is meticulous also. Ughhh Just wait till he starts making things in his new rock shop. He'll be finding random rocks, pieces of rocks, rock dust, rock sludge, rock grit, jewelry making doodads, random grindings, carvings, shavings and specks of silver and soldering detritus, bits of silicon from polishing wheels, half used tubes of Krazy glue, epoxy stirring sticks, bits of beading wire, crumpled up bezel wire, and random half-made jewelry pieces in his refridgerator, under his pillow, and in that graphics shop, just like the rest of us!
