This site is listed in several guidebooks. I am trying to find out if the road is passable by a small 2WD SUV (I don't mind abusing it a little). Has anyone been to this site?

I have not been there in several years, in the past very easily accessible by a high clearance two wheel drive, just one well traveled wash you need to cross. Bring some big hammers and pry bars, not much float when I was last there. About quarter mile from the site look up on the hills, left side of road, you will see a small natural bridge on the hill side. Perfect weather for the going up there.

Thanks for the info AZRockGeek. My vehicle wouldn't be high clearance, more like medium. Sounds like its doable though

I was there a few months ago and I'd say you could make it in a medium clearance 2wd. AzRockGeek is right about there not being much float. It's hard rock mining to get the pieces out of the wall but it is interesting material.
