Looking forward to seeing how these come out of the tumbler! They should make some killer pendant material.
Do you have a mold that gives you the 4x4 shape?
ETA: lets not call it vomit though...

Melted scraps from the glass blower's trash into a 4 x 4 X 3/4 inch slab and tile sawed them to tumbles. Probably should have sawed tumbles at 45 degree angle to get best effect. The colored glass laid flat w/gravity. Learning. Call it whatever you like, James. It is still hand made beautiousness

Does glass emesis sound better? Had to look up def for emesis James. Loud and clear, a short and simple def as done by Webster. Great title. Not as shall we say repulsive as vomit lol.

Thanks rockpickerforever. It was easy, build a little form, drop kiln paper cut to fit in, lay cracked glass in, turn kiln on and come back next day.

Little blocks of high temp ceramic Ann. Build a container and line it with kiln paper. You got to pile the chunks of broken glass high as it settles from say 3 inches to 1 inch. Fused nicely, only a few air bubbles. The taller the melt the more chance of trapping air. 1 inch thick nice for sawing slabs for pendants. I may try a terra cotta saucer for a mold for a 1.5 inch thick brick. Got to find out if it will hold up to the heat first. kiln is 9 x 9 x 9 inches on inside so space is limited.

I think we can come up with better wording Wel hell's bell's(heavily molested pronunciation with a strong southern accent) !!! What are partners for anyway ?! I had already used guts and vomit on mixed metal jewelry. Sold it in downtown Atlanta where the urbanites hang. Goths, Sci Fi and other darkly clad pierced peoples bought it. This stuff is a bit gayly colored for Miss Goth I suppose. Thanks Alison as I think you are hinting at changing gears on this stuff.

Well, I cheated and just used the free-use wiki image - too lazy to resize my own photos. The stuff isn't gem or tumble-worthy, though it looks great as an inclusion in quartz.

Wel hell's bell's(heavily molested pronunciation with a strong southern accent) !!! What are partners for anyway ?! I had already used guts and vomit on mixed metal jewelry. Sold it in downtown Atlanta where the urbanites hang. As I recall, you sent me some of that metal jewelry you made - arc welded? Plasma cut? colorful stuff. At the time, I recall you said it was venereal disease. Tumorous could have been a good adjective as well, maybe boils.
Oh, and there were a few dog hairs (RRs) that you slipped into the package for good measure. Could you throw dog hair into the kiln with the glass, like they do with horsehair and pottery? Raku? Ah, well the hair would most likely just burn up. It's not long like horse tail or mane hairs. RRs got short wash and wear hair, like pit bulls.
I have an interesting rock I will enter into the ugly rock contest at the San Diego Mineral and Gem Society's barbecue and silent auction coming up in a few months. We always do real good when we enter, come out ahead with the prize money. Remember the stone age foot wear (Sandal) from last year? The rock I am entering in one of the contests this year is a sickly, pukey green, and it has bruise-colored globs that simply look disgusting. I am going to call it "malignant."
