Was looking at Jamesp's glass thread, and, feeling inspired, I looked for some glass. I had a few pieces of clear beach glass so I threw that in. Next, my parents let me look through the alcohol cooling room (my parents dont drink often, but the original home owner had a wine cooling room, so thats where they put wine, and occasionally empty bottles). I found 10 - 15 wine bottles, but then I found an empty "midori" something or other. So I asked them if I could have it, they said yes. So I looked for more glass, found a old glass hotsauce bottle in the recycling, broke it up and found a couple old 2 inch tall paint bottles that were empty or the paint was dried. So thats all the glass I broke up Breaking Bottles. imgur.com/gallery/NyDtG

One of my best finds for glass was an old CRT TV picture tube. Must have been a 32 inch or larger and the glass was over 1/2 inch thick. The front had some bonds with some gray material that formed the back of the tube. It had been shot at by the Flint River here where I hound a lot.
Was driving down the street when I noticed some 1 inch thick glass broken up all over the median. Nearly had a wreck trying to pull over into the median to get some of it, but wasn't able to make it happen. The next day I drove though the area and it had already been cleaned up. That stuff looked like huge 1 inch diamonds laying there. Regret never getting any of it every time I go by there.
