Here's a couple I have done recently that I haven't wrapped. I thought this was an amethyst sage, but it didn't cab like an agate. The purple is kinda porous, not really soft, but porous. I'm thinking burro creek some kind of chrysocolla in matrix. The part at the top is translucent. a small Deschutes Owyhee gem small oj for a ring Turkish jade. Took a decent polish. I like the tip of brighter purple. really bright green NY tremolite I believe this is one of Mel's Rios. That's it for now....

Very nice.
On the second one since it is translucent it could be silicated chrysocolla (gem silica), which is actually chalcedony stained with copper salts.

Beautiful cabs -- my favorite is the Owyhee and then the purple one.

Those are great examples, vegasjames ! Just beautiful. The last one is amazing!!! Thanks, wish I could get more but the BLM leased out the whole area for a gun range and the gun range thinks lease means ownership and put a fence up to keep people out.

Amazing group of cabs! The chrysocolla and the Deschutes are the bomb! How do you get such nice photos if I might ask? Would you comment on your set up?

Sure, I use a light tent which you can pick up anywhere these days, color correct bulbs and a good camera with manual settings. I do use a post production program (adobe elements) to whiten the back ground a little. The light tent allows me to capture the character of the stone, but it doesn't do much to show the polish- for that I take them outside.
