To my surprise a rock hunter too. You'd make a fine expedition partner as much as you travel. I will look closely at the shoulder and thickness that you reshaped the glass to. To the best of my ability I will reproduce your specifications and send you a nice batch for your over-the-top generosity.

Are these close to the dimensions you prefer Billy ? This range of domes and girdle proportions are close to what are being produced after grinding curved edge. Most could use a back side removal with a lap as there are a bit thick at 5.5 to 7mm.

When a person does a tumble polish the bottom edge recedes a little. That would leave a small space between bezel and where the stone touches the back plate As long as the bottom is flat probably ok. I was debating whether to to put some cushioning to back the glass. Might crack? Maybe a heavier gauge backing will be required. I only had 22 ga. And usually use 20. Will see, I might have to send a steady stream to you.

I have always ground off the bottom edge of cabs for relief where the solder may pool and break the stone.

I use a 3/16 bezel 90 percent of the time if that helps. I keep .999 sheet in hand to custom bezels. There was a cabbing thread where they were talking degrees of the sides a few weeks ago. Pretty easy to make a jig for angling sides as opposed to staight, it's just the transition to make it flow.

I can take a hint Billy "Well if you look at the cabs you didn't dress up the edge I can work with them." -----Lol, please accept my rude humor I am certainly joking. I know exactly what you are saying.----- After posting questions in 'cab section' regarding the edge I noticed people have many ways of dressing the edge and you and I are no different. So, here is the batch 'Coming back your way' in appreciation and well short of your silversmithing services. As new products come along expect more. Can't thank you enough. Wife been gone several days, certain she will be pleased when she returns. I am attacking the washed out look on some items with full blown color attack via color melted to the back side. learning...

Outstanding. Very nice to the both of you. I would worry about the glass chiping. When pressing the bezal down nice touch.
