Very nice! Do they have solid or open backs? Did you insert a layer of reflective mylar between the backs and cabs? They look great.

That's a really nice original way to do these. Simple, clean, and yet showy.

That back pattern is really neat. Compliments the silver and the glass, great job as always.

Oh Billy, you seem to be having fun. Glad for you. I want you to know that I am wide open improving the glass and each week improving. The tumbler is a month behind glass production, so these pieces out yesterday are about 4 weeks back. I feel like we are making great pieces. We are actually trying to reduce the amount of clear pieces. But this back ground makes great use of clear pieces.

I just ordered some of these and similar yesterday to attach to glass and other cabs/tumbles. Super sale yesterday for $1.54 each. Now they are back up to about $6.00. Pewter/Zinc. I really did not care for the pattern on the lower part, but nothing plain available. Ordered various metals and sizes. Plan on roughing cab surface a little prior to gluing on. Have been using Aileen's Rock/Metal glue and it works great. Especially when I use 60% off coupons to purchase. Learned the hard way to completely clean the applicator each time. Have to remove it for cleaning. Will wait until they arrive to determine the best placement. May need to file some of the metal off and then smooth/polish it prior to attaching. All depends on exactly how large the upper surface of the cabs are and the overall shape. Envision the tab to compliment the shape of the cab, so maybe V shaped, rounded, tear drop, etc. Might be able to file off pattern if it does not go with cab. It is all about experimenting and being creative with materials and tools at hand, right?

Some similar were $1.20. Just double checked my invoice. The super sale, plus my coupon and quantity discounts helped a lot. Purchased some other things as well, findings, strung rock chips and carved animal fetishes. Even stayed within budget! These were the $1.20 ones in both antique brass and pewter.

JMO I have had glue on bails come off, more as they get years old. The reason I found out is because I worked with most of the people I sold to. I had tried different glues but all gave trouble with age. When I had people bring them back I checked ones I still had and tried to break them off. I found maybe 10% would come off with very little effort. Found that very unsettling to me. I did make some cheap tumbled pendants that I used a 5 leg cap on that I had no problems with. Maybe it is just me but that is why I went to drilling a hole and doing my wire bail............................MrP
