12” shearer and Foredom are close to a must in the shop. Hope you show the finished pieces. Good luck!

Gotta love new toys! What brand shear did you buy, if you don't mind me asking? I need to get one of those.
Definitely post your finished pendants. I'd love to see them, too!

LOL! I got some sweet slabs today that DH can't see. There are so many birthdays and back to school coming up that I'm supposed to be on a rock diet. Yeah, right!
Your gonna love that foredom! I almost bought a cheaper one, but I knew that a foredom was a good investment. Next, you'll be wanting the stand and trays to go with.

I have the same foredom - you're gonna love it. I'll have to look up the other thingy ... shearer thingy ... assuming it shears stuff

My reversible SR is also my favorite. Don't have a shear yet.

I have Contenti's economy shearer. Use it all the time.
I have the Foredom TX; I like it, too.

Shoot Ann and @rockjunque the new tools don’t have anything to do with new slabs... I too am suppose to be on a budget for the next little while but still managed to almost sneak these in, get a slab of Larimar approved. Along with Dino bone and willow creek 😂

Thanks, aDave. Sure does look like it. I have an SR, too. Love it! Sorry I didn’t see any of the replies until this morning. Yes the Foredom is that one. I didn’t realize when my off brand one died, how many real ones there are to choose from! But I use that tool every day I do jewelry work and can’t be without it. I’ll post finished pieces soon.

TommyI’m getting better with my jewelry saw but the shear is 100% quicker and straighter! I use steal forms of all shapes and sizes to make my bezels from, I cut the strips on my shear, roll a pattern on to everything, form it around one of several various shapes then solder!! Easy peesy. My dad helped me yesterday cut a few more steel forms. I didn’t realize you had a metal band saw DAD! A few for more tiny rectangular shapes. with Inlay I do all my metal work first then cut stone to fit! Forms are a God Send!!! And you can use anything and everything!

You are using steel? Most of my jewelry tools, including the shearer, say not to use with steel.
Like the pendant!
