Hi all i am Kirja African gem colletor , long time a go i am moving from mountain to other ,from desert to other , and from forest to other , until i had big infirmations about rough stones , at last i found a place in my countory which is full corundum all colors , pink ,blue , red ، yellow ,pi-color ,multi color , but that corundum is coated with strong white cover it , i tried all grinding machines and all the chemical in my countory but no result ,, please i need some one who test any way for making the corundum stones transparent , clear,and shiny. Welcome to the forum.
Not all corundum can be made clear.
As for the white coating without knowing what that coating is it is hard to say what will work to remove it.

Welcome to the Forum Kinja. As vegasjames posted, clear, clean corundum is the exception. Much of it has internal fractures or inclusions that lower its value. If your crystals are simply coated with some substance, that may be a different matter. If you want to send me a few typical crystals with the coating I'd be happy to see if I can find a way to remove it. I can have it checked by professional gemologists as well if warranted. I'll return anything you send of course.
