Yours looks more like the Orb Blue/Green Jasper from the same area as the original claim in Oregon. Deschutes tends to be much darker in the hills and background. These are two slabs I cut last week of Deschutes. When I cut it, the words of "1972 ORE Hoot" written in wax pencil appeared when the oil got on the chunk. These were cut from a 22 lb chunk to remove the outside chips, that is why there are chips are in the slabs. Needed to get to the face to decide what to do next.

Doesn't look like traditional Deschutes to me, but whatever it is, I know you're going to cut some killer cabs from it!

Nice as hell, but not deschutes- unless it is some crazy rare variety that only you have- which, knowing you, is possible. LOL!

Nice as hell, but not deschutes- unless it is some crazy rare variety that only you have- which, knowing you, is possible. LOL! it is not my fault i am hookedonrocks!
