I always make a pendant the consignment shop can give away for Christmas. Probably wont have another chance to make something before then so i did this for the give away.

Oh wow- that's super nice! I love all the bead work and the stone. What a nice thing to do, too.

Can you tell us more about the gift? Is it a charity raffle or something like that? Our local thrift store is run by Disables American Vets. They sometimes get nice donations just as a donation to the cause. Anyway you slice it, someone is gonna be happy!

I guess its technically not a give away, it is for the consignment shop to give away at christmas for people who buy something from the shop, not limited to my jewelry. I give the ladies who work there pick of my rings for the holiday. I do make pieces for charities a couple of times a year as long as i am around to make them.

Wonderful piece of jewelry and good on you for thinking to donate it. I have given gently used items to our local hospital store but never thought to do something with rocks. Greig

What you do is ART, I love your cabs. I am always behind on cabbing and haven't done any since last spring but can never seem to get mine to your level.

Greig Thanks, I was thinking of you the other day when what is left of the silver ore popped up in my search of something else. I still have a couple slabs that I cut off of that have gone AWOL.

The give away piece is very nice but the thought behind it even better.

AWOL rocks (and gear) are the story of my life. LOL I can be using something at my desk and set it down, kind of like the "Hunt for Red October". I haven't moved but I listen..{auto-correct: MOV files not allowed}e to a different perspective. Only to find out I am holding in my hand....
