AWOL rocks (and gear) are the story of my life. LOL I can be using something at my desk and set it down, kind of like the "Hunt for Red October". I haven't moved but I listen..{auto-correct: MOV files not allowed}e to a different perspective. Only to find out I am holding in my hand.... I drove 2 hours on the weekend for a late season season scuba dive (to find lost treasure under some dive rocks in a quarry)...Only to find out that I had forgot my dive weights, so I could not wear my dry suit and sink. As such, I was only able to handle about 15 minutes in just my swim suit and rocks in my BCD. I found a GoPro, a few coins and some sunglasses. I bet there is quite a bit more. The water was too murky for a video. When I emptied the truck after getting home, I found dive weights under the dog mat in the back seat. Ahhhh!

In my wifes face book I see people hit the like button even if its not good. Sounds like my luck. Looking for my glasses that are on my head or keys that are in my hand. Getting kind of cold for diving with out a suit.

Getting kind of cold for diving with out a suit. I damaged my ear during the summer on a dive and had to wait a long time for it to heal. There are a couple of spots that I want to get into still and prefer a wet suit over the dry suit because the amount of dive weight needed. I think I will try diving again this weekend and then hang up my gear. When I was younger, I dove when there was ice but have gotten wiser as I have gotten older. I know that once I clear out the empty beer cans under the dive rocks that there should be some gold jewelry to metal detect/find. At least, that is the plan. Otherwise, I have to wait for vacation in Aruba. To keep with this thread....I will confirm my gear before "hitting the road". Of course, there is always something that I forget. About the only "thing" I reliably have along is my dog. She is like my shadow when she sees me pack up gear and barks at me to open the truck for her to get in. She does not understand being left behind. ;-)
