Found this at auction. I have not bought it as the auction takes place today. Anyone have any thoughts on it. Shows some bluish purple the with gold matelic looking botryoidal. Not the best pictures. This piece seems very heavy for it's size. Any thoughts what it might be thank you.

Very interesting. How large? fernwood it is about 10-12" very slabbable. They have one other piece I am going to try and get. Headed out now starts at 10'am .

Could also be chalcopyrite. Will have to see what is inside. Hopefully you get it cheap.

Well we will never know, I bid up to 100$ for first choice they guy I was bidding against was not budging so I gave up and he took it for 105$. That was the only thing really worth it. Sigh!
