Scenario: Bowl is full of ceramics, just a few pieces going with them. You notice after a while that the rock pieces are moving towards the "corner" of the bowl and is only going into the ceramics about 1/4 of the way before popping up and going back in. Could the weights be off?
I've noticed early on this could be due to 1) too much water or 2) clumping in the bottom. None of these are present currently. Got me thinking maybe something is off. everything is rolling like it should and at a good speed, just seems to be shifting going into the "corner".
Would like to hear your thoughts.
thanks,

I can't see how the weights could ever need replaced. Are your fans/weights properly aligned with each other?

I'd check the dowel under the springs to see if it has moved. It should be glued down. I've never had a problem with my Lot-O, so I'm just guessing. The only things that I can see that could go wrong are what Bill suggested or the dowels moving.

A while back someone here had a broken leaf spring that caused the load to not move properly. As I recall, it was difficult to locate the problem.

Im not mechanically inclined so I can’t just think of what the problem is on the fly like some folks. It’s still moving at a good speed so i prob won’t worry about it too much. Thanks for the input

Not sure if it will change the internal flow broseph82 ... stop the Lot-O and re-align the squirrel cages (weighted fans) so the weights align with each other (easy to do by hand)... then see if the problem persists. My Lot-O was received new with a broken double spring. The action was so violent that the unit (which was attached to a 63 lb. block of concrete) danced across the garage floor.

Currently they aren't exactly at at the same spot each side (one is slightly more forward than the other).
