Those look great Billy. Do you make your own domes and your own stamps? I made one of those shadow box settings once with turquoise and found it difficult to set the stone. I agree that lighter stones would look better in those nice settings.

I agree that lighter stones would look better in those nice settings. Pound out my own discs and do the stamping myself. I can do up to an inch. I haven't graduated to making the stamps yet. Been on my mind though. I cut out aa 3 inch for a bracelet but realized didn't have a dop set that big.

Your pieces have a Southwest style. How about red coral or a red jasper look-alike? Turquoise is an obvious option as well.

Very nice! How did you flair the shank with the stars?

I like the one on the left better than the one on the right. Probably because there is more white webbing in it and makes it easier to see. I agree a lighter stone would work better. I wonder how an opal would look in one of those.

Very nice! How did you flair the shank with the stars? I just use a dapping punch and a steel plate. Sometimes they come out uneven. Just remember to anneal.. This one is an open shank so I solder it closed then I sawed it back open and opened it after the flare. I just ordered one of these but they sent me someone else's order so haven't got a review on it yet. They are on sale for 10 dollars. www.potterusa.com/spinner-ring-tool

I think these look great. A lighter stone might get lost in all that sterling. I can't even figure out how you did them! Awesome.

Those are so cool. I agree that lighter stones might be better but I am sure loving that greenstone. That's a really nice one!
