I think that's part of a jawbreaker that fell out of my mouth a while back when I was hounding up there

Looks like a pisolite or similar concretion.

How does it react to vinegar? Excellent question. I'm used to agate oolites and pisolites around here. Understood that limey/calcium-based minerals, siderite and limonite could form ooids, but interesting that bauxite also does this - aluminum pisolites!
